1. Identify the publisher
Find the developer name and support details on a publisher-controlled site or trusted app listing. Similar names are not proof of identity.
2. Inspect the exact file
Before opening it, check that the file name, app identity and version match the publisher’s description. A hash is useful only when the publisher provides a trustworthy matching hash.
3. Keep Play Protect on
Google says Play Protect checks apps from Google Play and can also check apps from other sources, warn about harmful apps and sometimes block installation. Do not turn it off just to install a file.
4. Review requested permissions
A card game should not need broad access unrelated to its stated features. Stop if the requested permissions or data collection are unexplained.
5. Do not bypass warnings
A warning is a reason to pause and verify—not a challenge to defeat. Avoid sites that automatically download, disguise links, or urge users to disable device protections.
6. Know how to remove it
If you installed an app and no longer trust it, uninstall it, review its permissions and check for unusual account or device activity.
