Deck and deal
A standard 52-card deck is commonly used, with three cards dealt face down to each player. Some variations may change the deal or add special rounds.
Turns
Players act in turn. Depending on the rules, a player may continue or fold. Do not assume every app uses the same turn order or limits.
Blind and seen
“Blind” usually means acting without viewing one’s cards; “seen” means acting after viewing them. Details and allowed actions differ by rule set.
Show and comparison
A show is a comparison of hands permitted under a particular rule set. Confirm who may request it, when it can happen and what happens in a tie before starting.
Variations are not guarantees
Side variations can add choices but do not change chance into certainty. Never interpret a strategy, streak or tip as a reliable way to predict the next hand.
